2019 LP Standard

Recommended Posts

What's interesting is that video was released on 8/31/18 and at the end he says it's offered in Seafoam Green and Blue. He doesn't mention any other colors. Yet we can see they are out there. So maybe they are special runs?

Edit: just checked Sweetwater and they have the Cherry and Trans Amber just like Anderton's, plus a Bourbon burst, so who knows.

As for the prices, as has been stated here many times before, the cost of a LP Standard today is about 10 times what it was in 1959. That's about the same as cars and houses have increased too, as far as I can tell.

If any guitarist thinks guitars are too expensive, there is a way to feel very much better about that. Just go and cost check pretty much any other kind of instrument.

Absolutely true. And even within guitars, if you look at other similar tier guitars compared to Gibson, they are all similarly expensive.

FYI in case you'd like to ask the Gibson USA and Custom Shop Product Specialists questions about the 2019 lineup, we're hosting an Instagram and Facebook Live session tomorrow 9/7/18 at 1:00pm CST;
