Murph
I've never tried one. I don't think I've ever used real Tortoise Shell either, although at my age I actually probably have and just don't remember. I just wondered if anyone here uses casein on a regular basis and actually prefers it over other material, and if so, who is your maker?
MorrisrownSal
I recently bought a Clayton Nutone Protein pick: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00743L2NA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I think it's casein. Good pick.... I still prefer my black Gibson Heavy plastic picks....
Buc McMaster
Red Bear picks are casein and are pretty good, but finicky. Without a very firm grip (no wiggle allowed!) and a straight away angle of attack they click on the stings a lot. I do like them but don't have the consistent angle of attack to avoid pick noise. Blue Chip picks are much more forgiving of slack technique.
blindboygrunt
Opps. Blue Chip are $35 up to $75. Worth it for a Martin though
