Anomaly pickup rings

Well I'm all for a bit of creativity and trying something new but I can't say I like either of those designs at all.

Sorry to be 'negative' but I really find them to be aesthetically unappealing.

Pip.

Yeah im not a huge fan... I wouldn't say put them on a LP but the moderns ones could be interesting for say a more pointy or modern looking guitar like a Warlock or something.. I think also we are so used to seeing the standard design that anything else would look strange.. But its interesting someone is actually trying something new.

We obviously need......(drum roll)......

https://www.pickuprings.com/pickup_rings

Or......

http://www.lmii.com/products/mostly-not-wood/electric-hardware/pickup-rings

And the ££/$$ to pay for some exotic custom stuff.

I have 2 guitars with wooden pickup rings and knobs; luxury!

I'd love some mahogany rings for my mahogany Gibson, would look great but the plastic ones do the job!

Edit - Duh....CITES......... :(

A pair of Les Paul rings made from Snakewood for a paltry $249.99....

Perhaps they meant SnakeOil?

I loved this endorsement, though;

"Thank you for making an excellent product that definitely complements my guitar and indeed improves the sustain..."

EDIT : Somewhat tangential but I liked the look of the silver guitar so, curiosity getting the better of me, I had a google. Seth Baccus Guitars. Beautiful craftsmanship but definitely Not Cheap...

Well anyone silly enough to pay that and believe it somehow improves the performance of the guitar deserves what they get I guess? :)

They don't even come with any finish on them :unsure:
