hessodreamy
Picked up a slightly beat up lp studio. The serial number is 02830414. Does that make it made in 2000?

deeman
Yeah, the pattern then was the 1st and 5th digits represent the year and 2-4 are for the day. You should post a picture? Did you get a nice deal on it?
hessodreamy
You should post a picture? Did you get a nice deal on it? Well it came without pickups and had had a diy paint job on the top which shows off the wood texture. It's not terrible. I put in some duncan antiquities and a bigbsy. I don't like gold hardware but it's all so tarnished I don't mind it and it doesn't look out of place next to the worn nickel pickup covers. I don't like the all-black look so I changed the pickguard and might change the knobs. I paid £350, so about what you'd pay for an Epiphone LP standard. Maybe I could have got it for cheaper. Anyway, here's how it came: And here's how it looks now:
deeman
That paint job is awful but it looks like a nice player. Hope you enjoy it!
