Who's the most annoying person in the lounge?

I do occasionally get surprising results. For example the 'real life question from my son' one. That really happened as relayed.

I was refreshingly surprised at the closed mindedness of many of the posters. I guess I underestimated the power of early childhood brainwashing.

It made me even more adamant in my position to keep my son out of the 'faith game' until he is ready to make an informed decision.

I do find it shocking how a lot of people of faith feel--especially Christians--feel the need to save the rest of us. I guess I don't understand why people of faith can't just practice quietly in their churches and leave the rest of us (and those who practice other religions) alone. My guess is that they are afraid that if they don't "brainwash" others then their churches and religions will become fade into obscurity--which is already happening.

I'm kinda surprised I'm not on the list it seems like every thread I post on dries up almost imediately....O_o

That's because anyone with the word "blue" in their name is an idiot. Blues get no respect. Just ask DeepBlue. I am starting to think that this forum is racist. There is a general hatred for our kind. We need to stick together.

My opinion is; it stems from a position of insecurity. Some seem to need to prove to their deity how much they are committed and thus secure that 'stairway to heaven'. Also, simply a safety in numbers issue.

I do think, though, that religion is not all bad. It does teach us a few good things...such as

1. Love your neighbor, but don't sleep with them

2. Don't play with yourself or you will go blind

3. If you neighbor pokes your eye out, then poke his out too

4. Don't sleep with mules or sheep.

We blues players are a proud people! Ok all jokes aside you're right I catch a lot of flak from some of my other music friends for being "the blues player" of the school. Maybe we should stick together

I am not a huge fan of the blues. I picked my name because I love Bluemoon beer. 8-[

Actually, I really like Stella. But when I signed up I couldn't figure out what name to use. I was drinking a Bluemoon at the time so that is how I ended up with this moniker.

In reality, I love Disco. I always have. Does that make me an outcast here?

It's not the religions them selves that's my problem. It's the people who use it to further their sometimes less then honorable goals.

Note to all lurkers: I said sometimes.

Many have honorable intentions and supply those that inquire useful information on dealing with real life issues. In my families case, my wife and I supply our children with that information. I am not presuming to know everything and thus the reason the door is still open on the religion issue and my kids are free to consider that option when they reach the proper age. Well actually this applies to my son. My daughter has passed that age and, for now, made her decision.

My vote is for you, despite the fact that i agree with you alot more then your "opponents". Why? The fact that you would even make a post like this. Whats the point of it? To intentionally start trouble and/or to get some sort of sick enjoyment out of everyone "voting against you". You seem to enjoy basking in others hatred of you. In closing, you really need to simmer down with the paranoid complex man.

Better then a "how's the weather" conversation.

Its one thing to start a topic/poll about an idea/issue/subject that COULD start problems. Thats not what you did here. You dove into "problem starting" head first. Your whole intention was to start trouble. For example:

What did you guys think of Obamas speech last night? (Hardly a "how's the weather" topic)

Ok that COULD start trouble, but it wasnt started by you. You could contend that it wasnt intended to start trouble as well. You merely asked a question about a speech. Then there's:

So, who is the most annoying person on this board? (followed by a last of names in a poll and you naming your choice in your original post). Directly intended to start trouble by pointing individuals HERE out.

Quite frankly, for what its worth, I only find you marginally more annoying then most of your "opponents" on here. I just dont understand why you seem to thrive on being hated.

Perhaps you have not noticed that I frequently am referring to the same people which (some of whom) I am sending private messages. They know I am just messing with them. Poking fun knowing that they will do the same back. I don't want to let everyone in on the joke because there is a certain amount of interest in the actual response to the 'train wreck' posts. For example your response was unexpected. I do find the occasional over reaction interesting. Normally I would have just said something like " get bent", but since you have posted comments that I agree with in the past I thought I would explain my actions.

Also the optional reason for self flagellating posts is that I think they are funny. Sometimes others do too.

I vote for the people who keep signing on asking for instructions on how to read a serial number! God, we get about one a day. COME ON ALREADY!

Oh, I also vote for folks who partake in a controversial topic, then get pissed and complain about all the controversial topics.

If you don't want to see anymore, don't read them, don't participate in them. If there's one I don't feel like getting involved in, I don't. However, I do have the problem of jumping right in the middle of them. I'm addicted, and I am a member of Controversial Posters Anonymous.

My other options are to look at guitar porn (Which I LOVE), read posts from the more technically savvy members of the post (which I LOVE) or answer the poor bastards question on how to read a serial number for the umpteenth time (I hate, but choose to not even read the post because I don't want to participate in something that drives me nuts).
