London Police & Moped Thieves

That's interesting. I'm actually surprised they're allowed to do that. That could be considered lethal force for what seems to be a property crime. For example, if a criminal rammed a police officer with a vehicle, I bet they'd be charged with assault with a deadly weapon or some such thing. I wonder what will happen when one of them is serious injured or killed?

I'm not saying that I disagree with it but I am surprised.

As the cop I might say that the person was reckless and refused to pull over so they had to be removed from the street for public safety

Mopeds were becoming the vehicle of choice because they can go where cars cant.. If you are following a moped its just a matter of time before they get away.. It was getting really bad too, peoples items being snatched off the street, no one was safe from it.. This gives the police a way to fight back and hopefully will put people off doing these crimes in the first place...

If someone gets hurt committing a crime, its their fault for doing it in the first place, I certainly have no empathy or sympathy at all for thieves (or worse).

You guys are behind the curve. 'Merica's way ahead of youze guys when it comes to taking out our frustrations on petty criminals by institutionalizing disproportionate violence against the perps. Especially petty thieves on mopeds. We shoot people for being deaf. You guys have nothing on us when it comes to that kind of stuff. If you disagree, I'll throw my steroids at you, lol. [laugh]

Unarmed police. That's funny. I thought they'd already changed that. I just looked it up and it's just some. That's like a guitar player without a guitar.

I know a Police Officer who is a SWAT member. He was born in Russia, came over here when he was 4 years old. He went back to visit and did a ride-a-long with two Russian officers (they still ride in pairs there), not sure where exactly. Anyway, they asked him how many people he'd shot and he said, "None". They looked at him with surprise and said, "None? I thought you said you're a police officer?".
