ilan smilan
Hello, I bought an P90 to mini-humbucker adapter and as you can see in the picture there is a space between the pickup and the adapter. I took a piece of plastic and cut it so it will fill the gap. Is it better to leave a space between the pickup and the plastic or to put the plastic on the pickup wiht no space? Thanks https://ibb.co/YTkDmmM https://ibb.co/1sr04FS https://ibb.co/k83Vqsf
Twang Gang
Without the piece of plastic you fashioned it seems the pickup might wobble around a little, and not give a consistent sound (although I may be wrong if it is solidly fastened in there). On the other hand if the plastic piece does not fit perfectly it might vibrate or rattle too. Just play it both ways and see which works (sounds) better. ksdaddy
If it were me doing it, I think I'd leave the gap but put a block of fairly dense foam under the pickup so it would be less likely to rock back and forth. The size of the foam would be subject to a little experimentation of course.
