uncle fester
Not a Gibson, (but when I can figure out how to play it - I'll post it done on J45) but right at 9 through 11 seconds of the attached clip he goes into two chords (right before he begins with 'hey there all you middle men'...) Can anyone help me out with what chords he's playing? Very much appreciate the help, all the usual suspects aren't working for me. uncle fester
A, then an open (non fretted) strum before the Emaj. but you didn't hear it from me Thank you, was not sounding right to me - I'll practice technique a bit an re-eval. It makes sense, fits with everything else, but I just feel there's a twang where you're saying the A chord is, but it's not A7. MichaelT
It's an interesting version, very bluesy. The song is mostly in an E blues and the intro is a little different than what he's playing in the video you posted but this is what's played on the original version. I don't have a guitar with me at the moment but this should get you started in the right direction. e|-------------|------------------|------------------|---------------------| B|--0---2---3--|---2---2---3------|-------0---2---3--|---2---2-------------| G|--1---2---4--|.--2---2---4------|-------1---2---4--|---2---2---------9\\-| D|-------------|.-----------------|---2--------------|-----------------9\\-| A|-------------|---0---0---0------|---2--------------|---0---0---------7\\-| E|-------------|---------------3--|---0--------------|--------------3--0---|

I'm trying to figure out all the little fills etc... the guy in the cover is doing, especially the intro and this gives me at least the bookends to the different runs. uncle fester
It's AC/DC so its always an E, A or D chord. Yeah, the song's AC/DC but didn't know if the guy doing the cover was extending it a bit. I'll stick to the basics and see what I can figure out.
