any of the good folks here have any experience with cole clark guitars. i have none but am toying with the idea of swapping the '96 j45 i have for sale for a CC FL1. obviously, i will have a better idea once i've played it if it's my cup of tea but i thought, in the meantime, someone here might weigh in with an opinion. hope this isn't against the rules. thanks, rob

Bradley Clark worked for Maton (Tommy Emmanuel's guitars are Matons) and I find the Cole Clarks sound a lot like Matons.

Like Taylor, the Cole Clark is a milled guitar made primarily on CNC equipment with an innovative and proprietary slotting technique to align and set braces.

The top on a Fat Lady 1 would be Bunya, I believe, and that is quite a brittle projection to go to after playing smooth Gibson tops. When I look at your collection, I wonder if this guitar would really do anything for you unless you are looking for a particularly bright guitar.

Here is a

link that might give you an idea of what you would be getting.

Personally, I would rather have the J45 - but of course this deal is entirely up to you.

I have no personal experience with them, sorry, but if you want to give one a listen, Jack Johnson plays Cole Clark F2 guitars for his acoustic stuff.
