IanHenry
Hi, I know there's a lot of fan's of Joe on here so I thought I'd let you know that Guitarist magazine here in the U.K have done quite a big piece on him. The interview brings up some rather interesting topics including tone, equipment (of course!) and, surprisingly Joe's future plans post current career, something that I never imagined him talking about. It was also interesting to learn that Joe's released 38 albums. No one can ever accuse him of not earning his success! Ian
kidblast
he's a machine, really.. I know everyone has their hero's but IMHO this guy is in a class by himself, and like a fine wine, improves with age. Those who say "meh, another blues player,, so what" those folks miss the boat with him entirely..

Older people like the bands they listened to back in the 60s-70s, and so one. I've said before that if Joe was born 30-40 years earlier he'd be one of the top tier artists of the time. But he's doing ok as is. The body of work he's leaving behind is going to be impressive when he's penned his last song. Not a lot of duds there either.. Those who say "meh, another blues player,, so what" those folks miss the boat with him entirely.. Totally agree. Saw Joe a few years ago in a small venue, and this guy can do it all! He not only has his own "style", he can duplicate just about any past players "style" if you will. He has no life other than the guitar from all I can see LOL, and to the point made earlier about him being born 30-40 years too soon, I conceptually agree as well. He truly is keeping blues alive for younger generations.
