Miles Davis - "Agharta"

Miles Davis - "Pangaea"

Miles Davis - "Dark Magus"

Miles Davis - "Live in Europe 1967: The Bootleg Series Vol. 1"

Miles Davis - "Live At The Blackhawk"

Special mention for - Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane live at Carnegie Hall

Both Jeff Beck and John Mclaughlin have released several live albums and concert DVDs in this century (! [laugh]).

Got tickets to see Mclaughlin in London in April, may be his last tour due to age and arthritis.

I've never got around to seeing McLaughlin sadly. Where is he playing?

For live jazz albums how about Joe Pass at the Montreux Jazz Festival 1975 or maybe some Mingus, Eric Dolphy, Joe Henderson or Wayne Shorter ones?

Actually, I'd put Hot Club of Cowtown's Continental Stomp from 2003 high on my all time favourite live jazz records (it's more Western Swing than straight jazz, but an absolute classic IMO).

In no particular order:

1) Live at Fillmore East_________The Allman Brothers Band

2) One More From The Road________Lynyrd Skynyrd

3) Concert For George____________Half the Planet, Apparently

4) The Last Waltz________________The Band

5) Waiting For Columbus__________Little Feat

I have a hard time relating to the India music on "George", but there is SO much good stuff on the other half that it never seems to amaze me.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers version of Taxman is part of the fabric of my psyche.

This got a call out earlier, but definitely deserves another. This is an awesome album, catching Judas Priest at their very best (before 'Screaming for Vengeance')

Judas Priest / Iron Maiden double bill was my first concert. Was screaming for vengeance - and was coming straight from a soccer game so me and a couple of my buds were all dressed up in ties and stuff, my friends dad was done all out in black leather, and smelled some funny stuff burning in back of me... think they were smoking something? :0

For the record, I'm mostly acoustic blues now... what paths we travel

My favorite albums:

SRV - Texas Flood

Nirvana - Unplugged

Pixies - Surfa Rosa

Pink Floyd - Either Wall or Animals

Beatles - White Album
