bigtim
Been doing some thinking here lately and kind of wanted another SG. I have never had one of the small guard style SG's before. Anyways, I found a guy locally here and I traded my Gibson explorer for his 2007 Gibson SG reissue that had a set of some kind of Seth Lover Seymour Duncans in it. I am very happy with how this one sounds and plays especially. I do not know how accurate the specs to this is compared to a real 61 SG with neck profile, neck joint and all of that other critical Gibsonite specs but it plays so much better than the 2008 and 2010 regular large guard Sg standards I had did. The neck seems wider with more of a 50's style profile on this one too. Matter of fact this neck seems almost as wide as the one on my firbird but also chunkier. Anyways here are a few pick. I was a little concerned with how the pick ups might sound but not anymore. This thing rocks. If I ever decided to get another set of different pick ups for another one of my gibson guitars, I would definitely consider a set of these. They sound fantastic!! Not that my explorer did not play well or sound good with the stock pick ups but these are awesome.
Black Dog
The SD Seth Lover's are very good pickups. Nice SG too.
Karloff
beautiful guitar. it always mildly annoys me when I see they (whoever "they" are) didn't clean the flux from the solder joints. bet it sounds great.
