Greg Ferguson Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 Anybody have a somewhat recent Gibson with the Tri-Burst finish? Would love to see a pic. Fuller's has an SJ in that finish, but their pictures seem dark and the finishes don't look right, at least to me on my computer. Would love to see a better picture of the finish. modoc_333 Posted February 27, 2009 Share Posted February 27, 2009 it's a funny finish to photograph. here is a pic of mine out in the sun: mine really doesn't ever look that brightly colored in the real world though. it honestly looks more like the one in the pic at Fuller's. and then in some light you can't see the red at all... it looks like it's black around the outside and an amberbrown in the middle. fortyearspickn Posted February 28, 2009 Share Posted February 28, 2009 I am not as crazy about sunburst as some of you are ..... but this triburst is really very nice. I imagine much better in person in natural light. I think I'd actually prefer it over the natural. BTW, the natural on my SJ200 becomes irradescant in the sunlight. I need to wear SP50 when playing.
