Natalie Cole

Recommended Posts

I still buy a lot of CDs,and have three Sony carousel players that are pack with various artists.

I responded to an add on Craigslist with some one selling hundreds of CDs.

I think I bought 125 or so CDs, but one of my favorite CDs that I picked up was Natalie Coles greatest hits.

Its just an easy listing CD, where she sings some of the old standards from the 1940s/1950s.

I was never a real jazz music type, but this CD is really great.

If you like jazz, and get the chance to pick up some of her music, I think you will really enjoy it.

Lot of jazz guitar in her songs

Thanks for the hook-up, brc!

I'll check that out.

One other noteworthy cd (in that vein) is from the mid-1980's.

Carly Simon's album Torch.

It's a collection of torch songs (songs of regret, longing, and heartache) from the 1940's.

Really nicely sung and produced!

:)

I have that one also. It’s also some great standards.

Another good thing one is Rod Stewart. He does some of the great old standards.

Truthfully, I was surprised with the way he covered those songs
