zigzag
Got the MXR Super Badass Distortion pedal today, and for what I need from it, it is great! I have not spent a whole lot of time with it, but I have played with it enough to dial it in to the sound that I want (pictured). I can say that it does seem to be very versatile, but it is also very loud! You don't really want me to review it anyway, because 1) my hearing ain't that great, and 2) I don't have a lot of experience with distortion pedals. I know what I like, and this is giving me just what I got it for. For the most part, I play pretty clean stuff. The other pedals that I use can be heard just enough to know they are there, and I like the effects of having all of the pedals that I use on all at once. The distortion pedal is just to add a little spice, but at some point, it will be pushed until to the point where there will be some harmonic distortion (which I like what I've heard so far... very "pretty"). I expect to play some Jeff Beck covers (though not nearly as well), along with some jazz and fusion. I have a small studio in the house where, these days, I play for myself and do a little recording, which I'm getting better at, and I have a few songs where I want to use this new pedal. Sorry if you were hoping for a full fledged review. The best I can say is that I'm happy with the new purchase.
sparquelito
I'm glad you like it. I found the Super Badass to be a really fantastic and useful pedal, both on stage and when recording and jamming. Best bang-for-the-buck on the market!! [thumbup]
