Woofdah
I came across this model that isn't even on the Epi website. I am assuming it was a special run for Guitar Center/Musician's Friend. Gibson 57's both split, phase shift and onboard booster. I can't even find a demo of this exact model. I found an open box for a pretty good deal, but it only came with the typical owners manual which did not cover my model. Curious if anyone out there has one of these and knows how to adjust the onboard booster. I believe it is a simple plastic trim pot, but that does not seem to have an effect. Also, the phase push-pull is a bit scratchy and when the neck is split volume drops off way more than typical. Just wondering if any owners of this model have come across these problems and had fixed them themselves and if so how? I will try som Deox in the scratchy pot. I would like to keep it for the price I got for it, but am considering sending it back.
Bubba Johns
Yes, I have the same ax. Why would you want to adjust the booster? and adjust it to what? As far as the issues concerning your phase pot you've mentioned, I am not experiencing any of these. Sounds like possible electrical gremlins and could be the reason why you got a deal on it.
