This is what it feels like

I did the guitar show today.. Was ok. Not the busiest but I talked to enough people got lots of good feedback which is always nice and maybe a possible custom job or two, we will see about that.

But I got this one shot today which I think says it all.. I didn't even realised I had captured it and it put a smile on my face :)

When someone tries out one of your guitars, that's what you want to see.

This is so cool, you've come a long way Rabs!

And it all started with a door..

Yup... The door guitar will be my "the log" :)

And this is just some of the pics cos you can only post 10 :)

Thank you to you and all that have replied.. The support I have had on this forum has been amazing [thumbup]

Rabs, that has to be pretty satisfying. your guitars look great. extremely impressive.

Yes...

And I can tell you what happened.. He was playing the guitar clean and then I got my phone out to take a picture, what you see there is him playing the first distorted power chord :D totally had no idea I had captured it till I got home.

Also that guitar he is playing is like the fourth or fifth guitar I ever made and my own design.. That guitar gets a surprising amount of attention.. I may have to make more of that shape soon. Do a burst version  :)

Very happy to see those pix. About the 1st one with the smiling guy: I had not seen that guitar before. I really like the contrast of shape and tele hardware.

Glad you made the show. :)

Cheers guys :) and yes it was good to get out there again.

That guitar actually gets so much attention and I think its cos as you said, the mix of stuff I have going on with that design.. If I keep going I will have to make some more of those. [thumbup]

That's so amazing that you have the talent and creativity to design and make those guitars. I would love to play one some day. That reaction was perfect. It was an "Oh yeah, that's the sound" kind of look. Congratulations.

Very well done!

Cheers.. This is actually the 6th show I have done, its just that I couldn't work for the last year or so due to family issues and this was my first one since I had to stop.. So it was good to be back at it.

Congrats! That first one looks like the perfect size and doesn't look too heavy (my criterion these days). Would love to try one!

Cheers man.

Yeah, its surprisingly popular... Funny thing is the reason I made my first few designs so compact was because that was the size wood I had at the time :D I was also thinking of making a larger sized version... I call that shape the Hammer (not to be confused with Hamer :D)

So you're saying you used to have small wood but no longer the case? [biggrin]

Whatever floats your boat :)

Sorry I couldn't resist. In all seriousness if it turns out to be a popular model and it was built by necessity that way because of what was available then that could be an unintentional great result.

Nice job Rabs! I hope you have too many guitars to make, and soon!

Cheers man.

Heres hoping [thumbup] There were a few custom enquires but you never really know if they are serious till you actually get the job. We will see :)
