Timtz
Hello all! New to the forum and have a question regarding a recent purchase. I just bought A 1995 Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty and would like to know the significance of the “limited edition” decal on the back of the headstock? Cannot seem to find much info online. Appreciate the help!
jdgm
It is what it says - they will have made a limited run of these, that year. I doubt if you will be able to find out how many were made as Gibson probably won't tell you! Has it got 3 pickups? Have you got a COA? Best wishes. Timtz
Thank you for the reply, didn’t know if that decal had any significance as far as model specs, or upgrades. The guitar is actually a Les Paul Custom Ebony (I called is a BB which is up for debate) No COA, I purchased on Reverb recently and can only find this specific model on Japanese auction listings. Will upload photos soon https://reverb.com/item/20805757-gibson-limited-edition-les-paul-custom-ebony-1995
jdgm
......can only find this specific model on Japanese auction listings...... Which might mean it is from a run or order they made specially for the Japanese market, which has happened from time to time AFAIK. Looks very nice too! Congrats and happy playing.
