ChromaCast Hard Case

I recently bought a really nice ChromaCast Pro Series Strat & Tele Body Style Electric Guitar Hard Case, from Amazon.

When I received it, I was really disappointed. None of the lids matched up. It was as if the whole case was torqued out of shape. It was easy enough to return but the replacement had a white blotch on the cover and the box it was packaged in showed that, obviously, someone else had returned it. I did not make that hole in the box. That's the way I received it. Nice going Amazon, right?AKfjMMp.jpgCS46jzC.jpg

So I noticed a contact link to ChromaCast on the Amazon page and sent them an email. After a few emails and pictures back and forth, the ChromaCast rep told me that it was ultimately Amazon's responsibility, which I agreed with, but he asked me to give him a couple of days to work on it.

Well was I surprised when I found a package at my front door. It was a perfect case sent by ChromaCast at no charge! They called it a warranty replacement.IBzBfOO.jpg

How cool was that? I got the perfect case that I wanted plus, I got to keep the case with the white blotch on it (that was functionally perfect) all for the price of one case. In my experience, it's not often that a manufacturer will go to such lengths to make sure their customers are happy. ChromaCast didn't have to do anything, but they did, and for that I give them two big thumbs up. Plus, it's a fantastic case! ChromaCast Rocks!KgciXGJ.gifKgciXGJ.gif

Nice, I appreciate stories like that... don't know anything about Chromacast, but I do need a case for my Guild acoustic, I'll check them out see if they got anything.

It was so uncommon, to me, for a manufacturing company to do something like that, so I had to post it. I love the case and I hope you find one that suits your needs.

Posting a thread like yours here is well deserved good 'copy' for a company which treats their customers fairly even although the initial issue was absolutely not of their making. Good for ChromaCast and kudos to you for spreading a good news story which deserves to be told about a company who actually seem to give a...care about The Customer .

Nice!

I only wish I had knew of the existence of those cases before buying my Fender Tweed case.

The case itself is ok, but the latches are really cheap. I had problems with one of them popping open everytime I put the case on the floor.Unscrewed it, a little bending here and there and it worked again. Until the spring of the mechanism broke, yup you heard right, luckily I had a spring that fitted right into it. It was a PITA to fix. Strangely the black Fender case work's just fine, and the chrome latches even feel like they're better quality, go figure!

Yours looks awesome!

Thanks! It's really a good, solid case. I only paid $75 for it so it was quite a bargain. Amazon just raised the price to around $84 but it's still a bargain, IMO.Sorry to hear about your Tweed case. Strange that you pay more for the awesome looking Tweed and the latches aren't up to par. I'm glad you were able to repair it. msp_thumbup.gif

That sounds like a happy ending! Amazon is really hit or miss sometimes. It's good to hear the company was able to step up and make it right despite it was not their doing.

It really surprised me to find that case at my door. I surely wasn't expecting it. ChromaCast really went above and beyond to make a customer happy!

Cool story and nice case I might add. Now you that have 2 cases; do you have another guitar to put into the other case? Perhaps a legit reason to get another guitar... msp_thumbup.gif

Thanks! No, I don't have a guitar for my nice new case. Hmmm, I like the way you think.

That's called good customer service. Something that is rarely experienced these days. Some of you on this forum may have never experienced it in your life as it seems to have disappeared in the 1980s sometime. Kudos to ChromaCast for realizing that treating customers well will pay them back many times over. [thumbup] [thumbup]

Yup, I'm an old-timer and I remember those days fondly. Sometimes, now-a-days, companies/stores make you feel like they're doing you a favor by selling you their products. This experience was very refreshing. msp_smile.gif

My son has one of the generic ones and it fits his jaguar and mockingbird.

I paid next to nothing for it and I wish I had bought more of them.

Fine quality

I agree, the quality is very fine. Now I have this nice, new case that's still in the original plastic bag and carton (I only took a peak at it to check it out). I have to see if my Les Paul or SG will fit in it. We can always use another one of those, right? If not, maybe a Tele.
