daveinspain
Hey Guys... I don't know much about this Gibson.... Do you think this is real? Its got a bolt on neck plate.... Did Gibson ever do that? Look at this
RichCI
According to this web site, the Corvus had a bolt on neck. I remember those and that they sold very poorly which would also cause me to believe that the one in the auction is real - why counterfeit a guitar that nobody bought the first time around? Might be a cool addition to your collection if you're willing to roll the dice.
ksdaddy
Yep, they're real. And you're right, nobody bought them. I remember in 1984 Elderly Instruments had a few left over and were peddling them for under $200 just to get rid of them. Now they're collector's items. They also made a set neck version called the Futura.
ScottGrove
The Corvus III is easily one of my favorite guitars of all time. Just a superb axe. The only people that don't like them are the people who haven't owned one. Below is a pic of one of mine and a review of it. Enjoy.
rocketman
Sweet! I love the way it sounds. Gibson did some interesting experiments in the 80's. I love my Sonex even it though seems to get a bad rap.
jaxson50
Looks like it was made just for pickin while sitting..I don't know if I would trust the forward strap post.. By the way, Corvus in Latin means crow or raven..
