AnneS Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Hey all-- If you're up for a toe-tapping, happy and/or sad (listener's choice!) ditty, this new song is for you... (It's a rough recording, with base and drum lines courtesy of Music Memos--one day, I may give this one proper treatment, but in the meantime, I think this rendition gives decent access to the song itself.) I'd be interested in feedback about the song--it's always a helpful thing, if you're so inclined. But then--feel free to pass on by, too! Don't Want to Go Out

Don't Want to Go Out Good take on an subject that isn’t usually explored in song. Good song and presentation. QM aka “Jazzman” Jeff
j45nick Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 That is really, really good! You can read that in a bunch of different ways, for sure.
Lars68 Posted April 23, 2019 Posted April 23, 2019 Hey Anne, I really like the new song. Liked Twice on Sundays too. Your lyrics have bits in common with this song: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1rmAi9XmlIo. But that's about all they have in common... Lars
Murph Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 I had already found that on Soundcloud the other day. I told you to cheer up... You have a nice mellow tone and feel. Excellent.
kwalker201 Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Been missing your posts on here Anne. Like Murph I drop in on your soundcloud and will listen to your tunes.
kelly campbell Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Very nice song Anne..thanks for posting it.
FemmeParallell Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Hola! Liked your song a lot :) wish i could write songs like that hehe
merciful-evans Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 I can relate to that sentiment. Today I mistimed my walk home and had to negotiate a legion of loud mean schoolkids who clearly didnt know what they were for ;) Good song. infectious rhythm too.
j45nick Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Today I mistimed my walk home and had to negotiate a legion of loud mean schoolkids who clearly didnt know what they were for ;) It ain't just kids who are loud and mean. They learn it from someone.
AnneS Posted April 24, 2019 Author Posted April 24, 2019 Well, thanks for chiming in, all—this is fun. (And you’re right, Murph—I should probably get out more. 😅)
G Mac Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 That's a nice song, AnneS! I'm with you on the sentiment! Keep up the good work!
MissouriPicker Posted April 24, 2019 Posted April 24, 2019 Yeah, a good one, Anne. And great vocals on this.......There's a somberness and warmth to every song you've put on here and it's very genuine. I think you write from "who and where" you are as a human being and your music comes-out very real. BTW, what guitar did you use? I think the bass notes really resonate and are very clear.,.,..Good stuff, kid!!! [thumbup]
AnneS Posted April 25, 2019 Author Posted April 25, 2019 Larry, the bass you’re hearing is a Music Memos add; the guitar is my new RainSong parlor, capo on the 5th, which is quite even, tone-wise, but not particularly thumpy. (It’s what was out in the stand when the urge struck.) Can’t wait to give it a whirl on the J45.
