Black Dog
Wife and I saw him last night. They put on a good show. Played mostly his classic hits, of course. On his new CD he does a pretty cool version of In My Time of Dying. I was hoping they'd do that but no luck. Overall a good night though.

rct
Saw him as John Cougar, he opened for Heart. He was good. Heart was unspeakably good. During Cougars set some chick sitting to my left leaned over and hurled half a bottle of Kahlua onto my Pumas. Good times. rct
Black Dog
I'm not a huge Mellencamp fan but he has some decent tunes. At this point in my life, if I have a decent act coming to town I'll go see them. Part of it is that we have a really cool venue here at Hult Center. We get mezzanine box seats and sit there in total comfort watching the show while sipping a glass (plastic cup) of wine. It's really a very pleasant experience. Not like watching Van Halen at the old Hollywood Sportatorium, which was great when I was 17.
rct
At the Van Halen 1984 show at Spectrum in Philly the lights were on and it was at least a half hour before they got on. A Frisbee came across the Spectrum and wailed right into my chest, bounced straight up, Mrs sitting to my right stood up and caught it on it's way down. The crowd. Went. Wild. The show was pretty good, if you didn't mind listening to that Roth character flap on for twenty minutes between every pair of songs. rct

During the Intermission, Frisbees were flying everywhere, and I told my girlfriend that it would be just my luck that evening (I was psychedelic) if a Frisbee hit me, and I immediately took one to the back of the head. For me, it was the loudest. concert. ever! Good times indeed.
derek R
Took my son to see mellencamp a few years ago,he still talks about it now, says it’s one of the best gigs he’s been to and I’ve taken him to a few gigs. I would go and see him again if he came back to Glasgow, got a lot of good songs and a presence on stage. Cheers Derek r
