G Mac Posted April 27, 2019 Posted April 27, 2019 There is some confusion as to Charley's actual birth date but, most seem to agree that it was sometime in 1891. The actual day is not known so, it might as well be today! Charley is widely considered to be the father of the Delta blues. His influence on guitar playing can be heard in all who followed him...most notably, Robert Johnson. Charley's voice is what stands out for me; he sounds like he's been eating glass and chasing it with moonshine. I hope you all enjoy Charley Patton!
G Mac Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 I must say that I'm a bit surprised that no one has even viewed Charley Patton. I hope that the forum has not fallen out of love for my birthday posts. April has had a lot of birthdays. Anyway, if you don't know of this blues legend, you should check it out. If, on the other hand, you are finding my post tiresome, just let me know and I will cease and desist. Peace!

Keep 'em coming, and happy birthday to Charlie, wnen ever it is.
G Mac Posted April 29, 2019 Author Posted April 29, 2019 Thanks, Dennis G. I just really don't want to offend or be a nuisance.
