G Mac
Link Wray would have been 90 years old today. He was one of the relatively few Native American musicians who have achieved fame (if not fortune). He was an innovative guitarist who is purported to be the "inventor" of the "power chord". He has influenced many guitarists among whom are some guy called Jimmy Page, Neil Young, and another guy named Pete Townshend. I give you today Link's most well known tune "Rumble"; a song which was banned because of fears that it would incite youth violence. I hope you like it! Dennis G
Thanks G Mac. It's been a while but "Rumble" was all the rage back in the day. Amazing what a 12 bar blues and pentatonic riff could get you back then! Thx for posting and happy Birthday Link!
