Gibson Firebird X registration failure

Recommended Posts

Hi, today I acquired a 3nd hand Gibson Firebird X. I'm trying to register in the so called "Firebird X Visionares Club" but when I try, an error occurs, saying that the Customer Code cannot be verified… what could I do?

Probably cause you are the only person who has one. You are your own exclusive club. Those axes are like hen teeth.

I thought I was buying a big screen TV.... there was a NOS Firebird X Zoot Suit and two bricks in the box...

I found a use for the bricks.....

UPDATE:

Something was wrong when I inserted the data for the first time, yesterday I tried again and it said "Serial Number already registed".

So, does it make sense to contact Gibson to solve this situation?

Otherwise, how could I solve it?

First off you need to post pictures of it, then contact Gibson.

Why do I need to take pictures of it and post them here?

We like Guitar Porn, that's why.

Phil Manzanera has a Firebird X and I was always intrigued by them but have never seen one in person.

So Gibson believes that you really and truly own it.

You have to post pictures next to today’s newspaper.

Ok, no problem about that… I can put some of it later.

But what's the best way to contact Gibson?

Too many gizmos.

Maybe another older Firebird VII before I croak.

It's a bit diferent from a "regular" guitar, but at least the effects system it's kinda intuitive since you get used to it.

You said you purchased this 3rd hand.

More than likely, a previous owner (Probably the first) already registered it.

Just like the message said.

Sorry, I forgot to correct that.

What I know now is that my FBX was shipped from USA to Portugal (where I live) around one and a half years ago (bought in Reverb, btw). And from the portuguese owners, I am the 3rd one.

The 2nd portuguese owner said that he never registered the guitar, so I'm trying to talk to the 1st portuguese owner. If he said that he did not registered it as well, I will try to talk with the last USA owner, and so on.

If things work out fine, I might be able to access the account that was created in first place. Otherwise, I may contact Gibson to try to solve this problem.

Wow!

That's pretty cool that you can find out so much info about your instrument and talk to actual previous owners.

Good luck.

We haven't seen photos yet.

You know what they say, pics or it didn't happen.

Do you want a photo taken from a special angle to prove that the guitar belongs to me?

Or just a regular photo?

:P :P :P

the most important thing of all is to have the right things in the photo so it can be known to be authentic.

2) the hottest babe you know, naked.

3) the 2nd hottest babe you know, also naked, bonus points for garter and stockings (but nothing else)

optional: the guitar in question

I'm afraid this is all a cruel hoax.

There are no pictures to be seen as nobody actually owns a Firebird X.

Not even Phil Manzanera, his was just a cardboard mock up for a publicity shot.
