ironwood
Hi all... I picked up this beautiful Epiphone 6-string the other day. Can't determine the model though. The number is faded. It is stamped inside the guitar "Hand Crafted' and "Made in Japan". The guitar has a solid spruce top and solid mahaogany back and sides with gorgeous 5-ply maple binding on top and maple binding on the back. Maple cap on the heel too... One of the nicest Epi's I have seen lately. I repaired the crack and she sounds like a million bucks! Any ideas? Check out the pics. zombywoof
I am certainly not expert on off-shore built Epiphones. But if I had to make a guess I would go with late-1970s or 1980s PR-725S (the "S" noting a solid top).
