alan_marks59
I'm Alan Marks, almost 60, currently living in Lakeland, FL. I've been playing at guitar since I was a kid, mostly acoustic unitl I got a used Epi Special II. Love it! Maybe someday I can afford to get a REAL Les Paul... Enjoy, Alan

Archtop67
Hi Alan, have you looked at a Gibson les Paul Jr or faded special ? they are fantastic guitars without the bells and whistles and on preowned market can be had for around 500-600 or so range and its a real Gibby! generally a little more but if your patient one will show up for a good price... I concur. The first guitar I purchased when i finally took playing seriously (at age 42) was a new 2002 Gibson Les Paul Faded Special. A very nice guitar and a big bang for the buck. I have since purchased several other higher end Gibsons, but still own and play the LP Special. Can’t go wrong.
