Navy Vet. 149 Report post Posted June 18, 2019 5 years ago I bought my first Gibson, an LG-2 acoustic. I had a Martin, it was great, but I played the LG-2 and bought it on the spot. I will never get rid of it. I did sell the Martin. Back in May before The Who concert in Nashville I played a 1957 Les Paul Jr at Carters Vintage Guitars. Last week I bought a Les Jr tobacco burst, 1500.00 is less than the 4800.00 Carters wanted for the 57. All my life I was a Tele man, but now I love the Jr. and I love Gibson guitars. My friends think I’ve lost my mind digging a single pup guitar. But if the Les was good enough for Leslie West and John Lennon, it’s good enough for me. Navy Vet. 149 Report post Posted June 19, 2019 Carters’s is a trip, guitars everywhere, some I’ve only dreamed of playing. I get off just being in the place. What was your rate in the Navy.
