Lindsay ostrom Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 What’s the best way to find out a beginning asking price for several Gibson’s that I want to sell?
Buc McMaster Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 Reverb is as good a place as any to get a feel for what's being asked for a particular model of a particular vintage. Search used instruments at some of the larger, vintage-oriented dealers, like Norm's. Of course you'll have to honestly evaluate the condition of your instruments v. what you might see online. G'luck!
Cougar Posted June 21, 2019 Posted June 21, 2019 I use reverb for buying and selling, but ebay still has the best way to check on the value of particular guitars (and other things). I think you've got to be a member, but then you can search on "completed listings" as well as "sold listings," which will give you what the item actually sold for , not just what people are asking to sell it for. Unfortunately, this is usually restricted to the last couple of months, so more rare items might not show up at all.
