Follows rules "if" they fit the song she's writing. Otherwise, she writes it as she feels it. She's a recovering alcoholic and tends to face life head-on. Much like her father, John Hiatt. Those that write the "manufactured" songs of today's country music should take a close look at this gal and forget the "Beach Boy harmonies" (that only The Beach Boys could sing) and forget all this hick hop crap.
