deeman
Sure, but there's different models and pickup offerings to choose from. Plus everyone has different tastes so if you're looking for a strat sound, you may want to just go with a strat or something similar. jdgm
The simple answer is - oh yes, oh yes...... Trust me. I play in a blues band and have a LP Custom.
kidblast
Any guitar gets the job done, blues is in the heart and in the hands. The guitar is just the vehicle to get you there. Edited July 16, 2019 by kidblast
brad1
Find the guitar that fits you...not the music. 😄
Black Dog
Absolutely not. Nobody should ever use a LP for the blues, clean or otherwise. It would never work, regardless of who may try.
merciful-evans
Yes it can produce a good clean sound, but it sounds nothing like a strat. However.... this feller seemed to manage it pretty well (its isnt blues BTW) https://www.shutupandplay.ca/sultans-of-swing--electric.html

mihcmac
Blues guitar could be described as portraying emotion through an animated object. Gibsons of all types have been used by the classic players, while at the same time many modern players migrated to Strats. I love using P90's that can give the best of both worlds. Its in your hands....... Edited July 17, 2019 by mihcmac
SGgypsyboy
You can ONLY get a clean blues sound with a 1990's and early 2000's Guild Bluesbird. That's the only guitar in the land that can do it. Edited July 17, 2019 by SGgypsyboy
