I'm currently using it for open tuning / slide. lay out the extra $ for a hardshell case for it if it already doesn't come with one. Not saying it isn't good at what it's used for, just don't care for various light colors and streaks that it comes in. I prefer dark solid colors like rosewood and Ebony (unless we're talking maple 😉) for my fretboard. I was disappointed when Fender went that route on their MIM line, and am also disappointed that Epi has followed suite. I much prefer look and feel of my older Casino with rosewood board.
