Mr. Gibson Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 Bought a ES 339 epiphone in VS should be here tomorrow. Be my first Pau Ferro fingerboard ,kinda excited to play it, also my first semi hollow guitar. Anyone else have one?
kidblast Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 one of my very good, if not best friends (Also a player), has one and he loves it. Let is know how it goes.
Karloff Posted July 18, 2019 Posted July 18, 2019 I have one. it's a great guitar. looks , sounds, plays great. I'm currently using it for open tuning / slide. lay out the extra $ for a hardshell case for it if it already doesn't come with one.

arcticsg Posted July 19, 2019 Posted July 19, 2019 Congratulations, and Happy NGD to ya man! 🙂 Any pics of your new Epi ?? 😉 I'm not big on the Pau Ferro fretboards. Not saying it isn't good at what it's used for, just don't care for various light colors and streaks that it comes in. I prefer dark solid colors like rosewood and Ebony (unless we're talking maple 😉) for my fretboard. I was disappointed when Fender went that route on their MIM line, and am also disappointed that Epi has followed suite. I much prefer look and feel of my older Casino with rosewood board. Here's a pic, and yes, the board is oiled. 😉
