Recommended Posts

pro union is I' date=' my dad has always worked union jobs, he has missed one day of work in the last 3 years.................

what color is axe's fence gonna be?[/quote']

I've missed about 4 counting tonight. My head feels like it's about to explode. I'm sure some of the gunaholics have a cure for this. A way for me to relieve the pressure.

I've got to feed the dogs once in a while.

You support the constitution as written? Or as "interpreted"?

Me....as interpreted. It has to be interpreted because it was never meant to cover every eventuality. It's a living, breathing document.

And for the record...i hate Wal-Mart....it is just way too big. I can never find anything. And the people who work there are really fat and wear nasty polyester blue shirts. They scare me. There are also too many people who have mullets that shop there. Mullets scare me.

This guy shops at Wal-mart

I did actually know it was from 'Scanners'. I didn't like that flick. More in to the sci-fi then the /horror flicks. Although I'm not quite sure what category 'Scanners' goes in.

Good news for Wal-Mart workers today.

After a few months of other issues taking top priority, most notably the economy and the economic stimulus package, President Obama reminded us that he still plans to pass the Employee Free Choice Act. The Wall Street Journal reports:

President Barack Obama told AFL-CIO union leaders Tuesday in a videotaped address that the controversial Employee Free Choice Act will pass, signaling his full backing for legislation that makes union organizing easier.

“We will pass the Employee Free Choice Act,” President Obama told more than 100 top labor officials in a closed-door meeting at the labor federation’s winter gathering in Miami, according to people at the meeting.

There is no telling when exactly the bill will be introduced in Congress, but when it is it should pass the House vote easily. The concern is the Senate. If the Democrats can rally full support in the Senate they should have 59 votes - assuming Al Franken is confirmed and voting. All that leaves is one Republican to vote for EFCA to pass the bill. The most talked-about candidate is Pennsylvania’s generally-pro-labor Arlen Specter, but other moderates like Maine’s Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins are in the mix as well.

And there’s also the concern that one or more Democratic Senators are wavering on their support for Employee Free Choice under heavy influence from the strong and well-funded corporate lobby by Wal-Mart and other corporate interests. The prime suspects are - big surprise - Arkansas’ two Democratic Senators Blanche Lincoln and Mark Pryor.

Arkansas Business writes more today about the bind Blanche Lincoln finds herself in. She’s undoubtedly receiving suffocating pressure from the Walton Family and the Arkansas business lobby to oppose EFCA - but she’s also up for re-election in 2010, and needs to support of big name Democrats. The netroots as well, likely won’t be friendly to any Democrat who turns tail on Employee Free Choice.

Neo. You have made no points. None and even if you did I wouldn't be able to quote and post a response. I don't think BTW you know anything about the' date=' so called union. You may not be aware of this, but all unions are different. Now unless you've read the bylaws of my union I really think your position is one of total ignorance. I'm not impressed your compound tuff guy crap either. I'm not impressed.

[/quote']

Funny how I can never quite hit the bullseye on you.

Always too far off the mark, so there's no point in your taking the time to generate a response...

Easy out, so you do not feel compelled to post anything beyond quasi-superior pseudo-intellectualizing.

Smart *** comments are your default response, never anything of substance.

I challenge you, DARE you to take one of my posts apart with any articulate Liberal logic you can muster.

Worked in the Operating Engineers for three years, worked beside them for ten.

Been around union labor all my life.

Laughed my *** off when I wasn't clenching my fists in anger....

My "tough guy" compound crap wasn't meant to impress you.

If you don't get it, then it's really just that simple - you don't get it.

When you actually post something more then a putrefying expulsion of ignorance then I will respond. That is if you post it in a form as you did with this post in a block form that can be quoted.

Are these what you want me to respond to?

NEOCONMAN

Bullsh!t.

You're a union knee-jerk mouth-breather.

Smart enough to know better from what I read, but you're too wrapped up in the Cult of American Socialism hell-bent on forcing EVERY American company - big or small - out of business.

You better get a firmer grip on reality before you start slinging that Liberal Comrade baloney around.

I buy American everywhere I can.

Pisses me off my GMC Suburban was built in Mexico.

YOUR unions are the reason.

Tell me I'm wrong.

(You can't)

Coming from you, I don't consider that an insult at all.

Share a little personal info with us about YOU and I'll take you apart and send you crying to Momma.

(You're scared, you never will)

Talking sh!t.

Give me ONE example.

(You won't)

Looks to me like you already have the answers. You see you didn't even ask a question, yet you expect me to answer something that wasn't asked. The one thing there that is close to a question is the one about GMAC. I propose your comment/insult is actually something you should ask of GM management.

A response to Camp Krazy Kompound, U.S.A..

If you want to call me a Socialist, then you'd be wrong.

If you want to debate the finer points of Unions I would, but all your points/comments are blunt statements followed by an assertion that you claim I can't refute.

All your points are based on knee jerk reactions and have not only no basis in fact, but have personal attacks associated to them. Usually if I am making an attack I am joking (evident by the first line in this post). Your just vial and crass. There is no cleverness to your method and no intelligence behind the blunt edges.

I criticize and poke fun of many and am correspondingly criticized and made fun of, but in nearly all those cases there is a micron of truth on both sides. You have nothing. you haven't even taken the time to ask questions that might lead to some of the outlandish comments. If you had carefully asked intelligent questions as does KSG or James Allen I might respect your points even though I wouldn't necessarily agree with them.

Oh' date=' I have to be careful now, eh? GTFO.

I might respect your points even though I wouldn't necessarily agree with them.

No, you won't.

You can't touch me, and you're at least wise enough to avoid any sort of debate with me in a public forum.

I'll spank you and you know it.

Keep it up with your Liberal baiting and tap-dancing around every subject, every post.

Some of the people may be fooled with your assumption of superior intellect, many eagerly await you actually displaying it and getting it shoved up your butt by anybody who lives in a logical world and holds core convictions.

You're a lightweight, battleship mouth and rowboat ***.

Still, you're a helluva lot of fun!

:-)

Well at least I've got that going for me.

That was the most clever thing I've read from you. "You're a lightweight, battleship mouth and rowboat ***." I have no idea what it means, but I like it.

BTW so far as a debate goes you couldn't spank anyone even if it were held in The house of Dominating pain, of which I'm sure you are familiar.

There are two sides to this problem (well there nor problems really but work with me)

You are either looking from this wal-mart issue as a "business of america is business veiw"

or

You are a moral, ethical person who knows what wal-mart is wrong and the only thing to do is not to shop there

****now im not saying you can't be both, but you can defend both sides

The "Employee Free Choice Act" what a crock of poo! Leave it to the democraps to come up with a name for a bill which is exactly OPPOSITE of what the bill does. Homz, do you really beleive that the shrinking union rolls are caused by employers making it too difficult for unions to organize?
