Finalfiasco
I'm new to the site, and i figured this would be the best place to ask about this. Ive been really looking for a Les Paul Junior double cutaway. Any year really, I like the look and sound. So i came across this ebay listing for a Les Paul Junior Worn White. So im checking it out and the guy said it was only made for the Japanese market, but was made in the USA. And there is a pic of the serial, but looking out it something doesnt seem right. I thought must be a knock off they are selling in japan, but the guy is from ohio. heres the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Gibson-Les-Paul-Jr-Junior-worn-white_W0QQitemZ250222008530QQihZ015QQcategoryZ33040QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Let me know if you guys can help thanks, mike

GuitarJunkie
It's legit. Gibson makes a lot of really cool models for Japan only. Here's a link to the model you're looking at (it's their translated link, so ignore/enjoy some of the ridiculous description)... http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2F1484.bz%2Fc%2F46694%2F&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 The company is Ishibashi Music in Japan. Several forum members have dealt with them and I've never heard anything but good reviews about them. Here's their direct (non translated) link... http://www.ishibashi.co.jp/ If you click on this image on the right it will take you to some of their Gibson inventory, including several single pickup Juniors in different colors. Just to make life easier, here's the translated version of that same link... http://www.excite.co.jp/world/english/web/?wb_url=http%3A%2F%2F1484.bz%2Fc%2Fpart.cgi%3Fpart%3D0%26part2%3D59%26type%3D0&wb_lp=JAEN&wb_dis=2 At the bottom, click on "The following 40 Ki?" to see the next 40 guitars. Right now 100,000 japanese Yen is just under $1000 ($962 actually) so as a quick and dirty conversion a guitar going for 399,000 Yen is roughly $3999 or one at 89,000 Yen is around $
