deepblue Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 After a few days of playing nothing but my Charvel I took the R9 out of her case this morning. WOW! The neck feels like you are wrapping your hand around a small tree!...It felt great! The whole body resonates when you strum it, and it sounds better unplugged then some acoustics ive played over the years. You really cant appreciate your Les Paul unless youve let her nap for a bit and then go back. They really are like no other.
:oilpit: Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 A while back I stripped one of the screw holes on my LP where the strap lock goes in, and I didn't know how to fix it for like a week. And for that week I played nothin but my Tele, and when I got it fixed and started playing it again I had the same reaction. Les Pauls rock...
Flight959 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Deepblue! Well said! I compare it more like putting my hand around the wifes neck...(when she sleepng) Not some lumpy squirrel ridden tree.. Flight959
Tim Plains Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Totally! After playing nothing but my Telecaster for almost a week, I picked up the R9 and really appreciated what a great instrument it is. The Tele is a fine guitar, itself...but not in the same league.
