BCSC
...in this: http://asheville.craigslist.org/msg/1058093033.html No relation to seller. Just thought it might pique someone's interest who's a fan of vintage small body Gibsons. Bryson City is right on the outskirts of Smoky Mountains National Park in extreme western North Carolina, about 70 miles west of Asheville. I've heard the Freight Hoppers a couple of times. Stellar band.
Hoss
Well,,,, I believe I know the identity of the seller. But I'm a bit confused- Since Cary Fridly was the original guitar player with the Freight Hoppers, and she played an old J45.
BCSC
I checked out the cover of their "Where'd You Come From, Where'd You Go" release and, you're right, it looks like Cary's carrying a J-45.
TheLiveSoundGuy
Here are the pics of the guitar in question, straight from the person who posted the ad in craigslist.
Hoss
Yup-- it's a LG2 that he's selling. But Cary always played a J45. ( I met and played with her a bit a few years back.) And I believe I've also met the person selling this LG2. It's probably a good one- I remember him having several other exceptional old guitars- incl a sweet old small body gibson. Entirely possible they used the LG2 for a few tracks on their CDs.
