So I'm Minding My Own Business Looking at SG's

Recommended Posts

And all of a sudden, here's this Mark Agnesi video of him grinding out some serious riffage on an SG and I'm like "Oh, hey Mark, duh, uh, sorry for making fun of your jacket.  😬"

He just kept riffing away on the video and like five minutes later I bought this.  He said "This is the guitar you're looking for."  I said "This is the guitar I'm looking for."

Very nice too.....

I borrowed a '61 reissue SG (think it's 90s or early 2000s) a few weeks ago.   Never really had the chance to work out at length on a SG before.

I recently sold a 2018 SG standard, which I really didn't like. It felt like one of those guitars that you had to fight it a little bit to get something good from it. That might be suited for some people, but that's not particularly my favorite brand of bourbon. I don't think that is an issue with SG's in general as I've played some amazing ones before, but just an attribute of the one I recently sold. I'm seriously considering an Original Collection SG Standard 61 like the one you posted. I'm deliberately not trying one out for the moment for fear I might end up pulling the trigger a bit sooner than I want 🙂

Don't scratch the piss out of that handsome guitar with your  black pretend biker leather jacket, please.

That's hilarious.  His riffage rendered you into a hypnotic state!  I suppose one could be hypnotized to do worse things.

Nice Guitar!  [thumbup]

Very nice, congrats.  If you haven't had one before you will be amazed at how much is sounds like a  LP,  but lighter, and easier upper fret access.  Of course in '61 it was the only new LP 😉
