Mr. Robot
Just got it today. I am reliably informed that it is the last one in Australia. Found it by fluke in a Gibson dealer, sitting up the back of the store and hiding between a stack of Epiphone amps. I just love it!
Californiaman
Oh that's GREAT! Good for you. I am so glad you decided to buy this amplifier. They are wonderful amps. I love mine to death. Was playing it this afternoon. I put a Danelectro Fab Tone in front of it and plugged into the high input jack and let it rip. I had the coolest funky sound going. It was perfect for "Always on the Run" by Slash and Lenny Kravitz and some original stuff I was playing. Then I plugged into the low input jack and used the neck pickup on my stratocaster for some rich, warm blues. Playing mine at bedroom level with the volume about 1/3 the way up and it sounds great. Crank the volume to 2/3 up and it roars. With those two guitars you have, you're going to love it! How much did you pay for yours down in Australia. Mine was $350.00 plus tax in the California, USA. So about $374.00 out the door. I've seen them as much as $700 in the States.
Mr. Robot
And all thanks to you Californiaman for your great advice. I also have an American Standard strat which I have not tried out yet with the amp. Looking forward to that. I am blown over by the tone of it. I paid $910 Australian Dollars for it, so I think I did OK. That would equate to around $590 US, so if you take into account import tax etc and the fact that it is the only new one I could find..... So I think it is an OK price. The list price was a rediculous A$1,699!!!! Thanks again man! I will keep this one forever. Mind you, I will never sell a guitar or anything related. Its against my religion!
