dp71
Hideaway Little Girl Steppin' Out Double Crossing - solo Hi! I'm very new to this forum, don't know if my youtube-links will work, if anyone will like it, dislike it, or care the least! Anyway, just recently bought my first Les Paul, and I'm kind of in love with the sound of it! Here I'm playing my own aural transcriptions, recorded through a Vox AD15VT going to a Yamaha mixer, along with a CD player with the original stereo recording. I put my guitar a bit louder than Clapton's. Video is simultaneously recorded with my laptop's camera. Cheers!
surfpup
Sounds good. Nice vibrato ya got there. Certainly took some time and patience to nail those verbatim. Personally, I don't like hearing people play along with the record though. Would rather you by yourself or with a backing track you made. Avoids that weird "stereo" thing that happens when you play along. Dig what you are doin' with your Lester though.

ant7629
Sounds really cool! Lots of "feeling" put into that, which a lot of people miss out when playing stuff like this. What are your amp/guitar settings?
dp71
Thank you all!! Yes, when I'm slightly out of sync, or don't bend to his exact pitch it becomes a bit painful to hear! On the other hand, having my own computer-generated background would sound too stiff, and I don't play in a band. What to do? Record all the instruments myself? That's actually something I'd like to try!:D Guitar settings vary between full volume/tone to about 7-8, bridge pickup. Amp is set to "UK 80's", gain about 1 o'clock, treble 3 o'clock, mid 12 o'clock, bass and master full. And lot's of reverb. Cheers!

dp71
Thanks, really appreciate all the comments! Thanks for the stars Matt! Don't know why Little Girl is so seldom heard, it's a real gem to play! You're kind of busy with niceties all the song through (isn't that why it's fun to do covers?) Regards!
