YoginJ Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I bought a ga-5 on auction site. I knew it was a nice find well worth the 527 i spent, girlfriend was like what?! Lol But it has 4 inputs, not a Skylark or Les Paul, just says Gibson, Kalamazoo MI. I cannot find one like it anywhere and i even found a site that has listings of how many of each model were made each year etc Quote
dkevin Posted November 11, 2019 Posted November 11, 2019 It appears to be an early GA-5 without the "Skylark" designation that has 2 inputs added by a modifier. I can't think of why you would need 2 more inputs for a 5 watt amp...The cabinet is the earlier variant with larger edges at the top and bottom of the face. These amps are great! Congrats! Quote
Bill Moore Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 I agree to the added inputs, the early GA-5 (Les Paul Junior), had a square cutout in the rear. This one is a GA-5 version 1, 1958-1962, and had 2 boards on the rear. Quote
YoginJ Posted February 11, 2020 Author Posted February 11, 2020 Yes it works great and seems to be original Quote
