Murph Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 BK's thread got me thinking. We all have some oldies in the vault. This one say's 2013, making it a mere 6. Original song with my 2003 J-45 Rosewood w/ ebony. All I had at the time was the monitor cam.
MorrisrownSal Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I purged my you tube channel recently.... there was stuff back to 2011. this is 5 years ago... I think there is another one with the same Southern Jumbo TV...
Tman Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 I assume you mean an acoustic which I don't have a video of one being played but I have this. The oldest video I have playing a Gibson is from 1979 at a July 4th battle of the bands in Little Rock, Arkansas and it was an electric. I was playing my 75 Flying V on this original song . The other guitar player and lead singer was playing an Explorer. It was 104 degrees with 95% humidity and I had shorts on that had gotten muddy. You'd think I'd soiled myself (almost though with that big crowd 😁) The video has been transferred from different media so it ain't high res.
AnneS Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 8 years and many lifetimes ago, when I was bravely throwing out new songs at my then-favorite open mic where the house band was always game. Good times...

Whatever was flaring off from your left shoulder stole the show for me, even though the JJ Cale tune done in drop D was a nice de-escalation of that rockin' standard. 21 hours ago, AnneS said: 8 years and many lifetimes ago, when I was bravely throwing out new songs at my then-favorite open mic where the house band was always game. Good times... It might've been many lifetimes ago, Anne, but hopefully you get back to that place once in a while, because the rhythm back up really takes your music to another place. I'm sure you could've kicked into a higher octave and had even more fun with it. Very cool vibe there, though.
drathbun Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 8 years ago. I don't remember getting a YouTube copyright strike for this either! My Gibson Songwriter... nice guitar.
