djroge1
I searched for a thread like this and couldn't find one. There are a lot of different songs that have been remade and some (not all) are better than the original IMO. Although I'm a huge SRV fan I still think Hendrix's remake of All along the Watchtower is my favorite.

Murph
I voted before I read the thread. For Van Halen. I was thinking more of .................. WORTHY..... "Better" is an opinion. But some covers suck. I think The Beatles Version is far better than Aerosmith. That's an opinion. Some are not even worthy. But, then again, that's an opinion. Good topic though. Dynadude
How about SRVs version of Superstition? The original was awesome, but Stevie Ray kicked serious buns too.

Californiaman
I have to say, seeing Kenny Wayne Shepherd play Voodoo Chile, he's got it down. Also, I've heard a couple people tackle Elvis Costello's "What's So Fun About Peace Love and Understanding" this weekend and was impressed. Oh, and Joe Bonamassa's cover of Just Got Paid from ZZ Top.
