justgpl Posted August 28, 2019 Report Share Posted August 28, 2019 Hi everybody: I have a new Gibson SG Basss EBO3 with aq neck pickup and a bridge pickup,. I am having a problem with E string being about 20% lower volume than the ADG strings. I have been back to the dealer with not much success and I have tried new strings I have tried backing out the E string screw in the neck pickup and the problem persists..Please can anyone give me some advice, I cannot return the bass and I don't want to hide it in a closed, thanks for any and all help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
rickc Posted August 29, 2019 Report Share Posted August 29, 2019 This is a very common problem. Try turning the guitar volume down to around 50-60% and increasing your amp volume to achieve the volume you wish to play at; your guitar output may be slightly over-driving the amp, accentuating the three higher strings output preferentially to E.
