hawgadi Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 I've seen several photos of J-50's dated after 1956 that had a normal bridge. When did the adjustable bridge come about in the J-50? I'm looking at a '56 and was surprised to see the adjustable. Also saw one on Umanov's site (sold) that said "original lacquered bridge" and had a normal saddle. Thanks for any info folks! TM Posted March 9, 2009 Share Posted March 9, 2009 The adjustable was an option until sometime in the early 60s when it became standard. I notice that one has the bigger screw wheel adjusters which would make it early. 56 was probably the first year as an option. I have a 56 with that is non-adjustable.
