mc2
Does anyone know if the creme colored pickups with the raised GIBSON logo used in the 70s Les Paul Signature guitars and basses were the exact same pickups? Or were the bass pickups and guitar pickups different and just put into the same plastic covers? I have both Les Paul Sig 6-strings and basses and the pickups DO look the same outside but they are potted so I cannot tell what is inside them. qblue
I really don't know about his pickups, except that they are low impedance. But since you live in NYC, maybe you could ask Les Paul himself, @ the Iridium Club, on Monday nights. This guy should get credit for introducing and inventing the Log guitar, whose concepts are clearly seen in the ES-335 and Les Paul guitars.
