Happy Birthday Gordon Lightfoot

Recommended Posts

Gordon Lightfoot turn 81 years old today!

What a run he has had, thanks for the great memories and the songs that tell stories,  something that has gone by the wayside years ago,

God Bless you Gordon

Always have been a big fan of his...saw him a couple years ago and he seemed to be having the time of his life...before he or the band hit the stage a stagehand brought out that old beat up D-18...sitting second row center I got excited like I was seeing a celebrity...

He's had to reschedule some recent dates (a couple more than once) due to a leg infection that's taking longer to heal than expected...81...man!!! Go Gord!

Saw him in London - back in the last century....still have "Sundown", a fine LP.

HBD.....the anniversary of the wreck of the Edmond Fitzgerald was a few weeks ago.

The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald  is, by far, my absolute favorite G. L. record.  It is kind of a buzz-kill at a party, however.
