Need help

Hi everyone, need some help identifying 

this les Paul. My brother passed away a couple years ago and I have his guitars. I’m a drummer so I don’t know a whole lot about it. I believe it’s early 90’s.any help on year and what it’s worth would be awesome thank you. S/N 011765 Gibson les Paul classic

yep,  looks consistent with the Les Paul Classic.  That looks like a plain topped one.   If the pick guard is in the case  it should also have "Classic" inscribed on it.

The Gibson Les Paul Classic was introduced in 1990 as a reissue based on the 1960 Les Paul. The key feature of the Classic was it's slim neck profile.

I owned one of those. Mine was ebony. Great guitar. The serial number is supposed to look like they did way back then.

Sorry for your loss, early 90s classic are more sought after than other years, specially 1990-1994 ones, wish i had one

Dont know what year would it be, usually those have a 5 digit serial number and the first digit would be the year. this one has 6 digits so i dont know, maybe its a 1990??

It could be a little older according  to Guitar Site decoder it could be 1970  - 1972

Serial number: 011765

Production year: 1960 
(Only applies to solidbody) 
Manufactured in Nashville
Production year: 1967
Manufactured in Kalamazoo
Production year: 1970 - 1972 
(if 'Made in USA' on headstock) 
Production year: 2001 
Model: Reissue 1965 Firebird V & VII
Manufactured in Nashville
 
(Year overlap as a result of the 70's random method)

That’s a really nice player.... If you plan to sell I see them go from $1200 to $1600 in good to excellent condition.

Also my condolences to you and your family  for the loss of your brother.
