Dat guy
I have always loved the look of the Epiphone Viola bass and the general beatles vibe it goes for, but I don't play bass.I have seen a few basses which were converted to guitars, but those either had a replaced bolt on neck or a standard easily replaced tailpiece. Its a semi-hollow as well so I'm not sure if it would be possible for your average Joe to replace the tailpiece, or if the bass could even take the pressure from 6 strings. Is my idea even possible on this model or similar violin shaped basses? Would really appreciate some help Edited January 20, 2020 by Dat guy
ksdaddy
There are Japanese 6 string hollow bodies from the 60s (shaped like that) out there. It would save you a lot of conversion.
