Getting ready to mow the back half of my lawn. Been playing my recently acquired RG421, which feels very different from my Epiphones with its flat maple fingerboard and 25 1/2" scale neck, which is actually 25 5/8". Any way its proving to be a lot of fun to play I haven't had 24 frets since my SG-X.. Gotta go mow the yard..

Had to shoot one of my daughters cats, was hiding in the tall grass when  my brother was cutting hay and cut the poor cats back legs and tail off. Needless to say she's feeling great sadness and I hate, absolutely hate putting animals down. And I really liked the cat.

And on Monday an old family friend committed suicide,he was best friends with my uncle who died in 2001, he never got over that loss. He was 93 years old and said he didn't want to live as long as his parents who were I think 105 and 104, old age ain't for everybody. It was really shocking actually to get that news.

I just came in from mowing, Sorry to hear about your daughters cat, very sad. If anything happened to my cats I would be bummed, I have 2 female Siamese and a monster black male living on our doorstep that keeps all the other cats and dogs away.

That's the most humane thing to do in a circumstance like that to end its suffering.  Sorry for your daughter.

Got a sad face on a post.

If you look at your avatar, it's hard to see a smile, It looks like you have a sad face with that mustache.  I'm like that too in person. I have a huge mustache that comes down each side to my chin.  But it's grey. I get a lot of people complimenting me on my stash, I've had it since I graduated. [thumbup] How is this one?

Went to Sam Ash.  Nuthin.  Picked up dinner.  Fried Chicken from the Cracker Barrel.  Great liquor store right between the Sam Ash and the GC.  Picked up two halfs of Clicquot, one for me, one for the Mrs.  Enjoyed them thoroughly, those bubbles leave me breathless every time, and I'm talking hundreds of times if not thousand or more.   And dinner was good.  Making preparations for a double(triple actually) Graham 10 year Tawny and a cheap cigar.  Life, as weird as it is, is good.

Love Port.

Went to a few used record stores. Picked up 2 by Zappa, 2 by Richard Thompson, and 2 when Richard was married to Linda.

Got the news today that my dad's house is sold.  The buyers got their loan.  We sign it away a week from today.  He passed away on 4-5-20 and we only had it for sale for a few weeks.  Takes longer for all the paperwork crap than it did to sell it.    Anyway, one less thing to worry about now.  It's not like I won't be going by it anymore----it's three houses up the street from us.  I didn't grow-up there, but my kids and grandkids spent a lot of time running back-and-forth between houses.  Kind of like that old Seger song "Turn the Page.".......The rest of the day was a "honey do" day............Read in the local news that there was supposed to have been a anti-police march here, but it didn't take place.  They said about twenty-five people showed-up with their signs, but they chickened-out of marching.  Someone must have talked some sense in to them.  Independence is still a Cow Town in a lot of ways.  Destroy property and your immediate threat will be local citizens.  Lots of flags on houses, on cars, on businesses, lots of black, white, and hispanic rednecks.  The funny part is that they asked for a police escort in an anti-police march.  The mayor said "No,."  I thought the guy was a wimp, but I'm glad he proved me wrong..........I don't care if people want to peacefully protest, but these stupid college-age kids better pull their heads out of their butts, wipe the crap out their eyes and take a good and long look at whats going to eventually come down on them.....Anyway, that's my life's history for today.

Let's see, if you were born in 1947, then you were 22 in 1969.  I assume you weren't one of these "stupid college-age kids who needed to pull their heads our of their butts, wipe the crap out of their eyes" and realize they weren't changing the world - just the potency of marijuana.  😂

I was too busy chasing women to go to a protest.  Woodstock would have been fun, but in all sincerity I had a job to go to..  Besides, in Kansas City we had Volker Park and every Sunday at the fountains was a mini-Woodstock..........And of course, "the potency of marijuana" was always an influence.  Just had to be careful not to show-up at work "high."

I hired on at Union Pacific in 73.  I knew a bunch of guys there still smoking marijuana and selling it at work. The one selling it was a guy I graduated with in High school 1971.  I would have been 16 in 69. Never will forget that year.  Almost cut my left arm off on the garage window, falling off my bike towards the glass widow. The bone was all that kept it from coming off. Almost bled out before I got to the emergency.
