I am really enjoying my 339 unplugged.

Do you have a Casino? The semi hollow Riviera sounds good unplugged but nothing like the Hollow body Casino. It is more like an acoustic and very much more pronounced.

Rain today and it's cold for May in the UK.

I did myself a home Covid antibody test today for research - I signed up a couple of weeks ago.  You prick your finger for a drop of blood, put it on this special little testing stick then add buffer soluion and wait 10 minutes.  You see a little line for G antibodies and one for M if you have those too - I just seem to have the G ones.  Then I took a photo of the stick and went online to the research site, did the survey questions and uploaded the photo.  Took about 40 minutes in all.

But more importantly - played my Tele through Dual Showman.  Beautiful clean sound but even on the neck pickup I have to roll the top off a bit, it's so glassy.  Got a set of 10s on and the high E seems a bit quiet. :-k

And cooked cauliflower cheese. Not bad even if I say so myself!

Today I went out and painted our Doberman statue. It was in pretty bad shape. I had Sundance go out with me  for a model.  I painted the black parts with a mixture of grey, brown, red, dark blue and tan mixed together.  Then I went over it with dark blue, black and dark brown mixed up. used brushes trying to create hair marks and it worked. Then I did the same for the rustic brown places on him.  Dog modeling must be hard work because he is asleep on the love chair up in our bedroom. Haha.

I would post it if I could figure out the last part in imgur but no such luck yet.  I sent Rob 4 photos though.  It turned out pretty good for painting on worn out concrete with holes all over and imperfections.  I did it in Oils.

Worked in the yard, tended the garden, and put down some sod (from a local nursery) over where the dogs had run things thin.

Just turned on the sprinkler.
Cracked a cold beer, and now I have some cod (marinating in butter, garlic, and black pepper ) for supper here in a bit.
I'm thinking Brussels sprouts on the side with a squeeze of lemon juice.

Ouch? That one will be sore for awhile.   It rained most of the day here, Not a hard rain, but misty  so not much done except I went with Debbie to do all her chores running around.  There were accidents all over the place today. We even saw a motorhome that was burnt to a crisp on an onramp to the interstate.  Traffic was a mess everywhere.

Went swimming with Cherry at 8am. I drove her home (in her car) and walked back to mine. So far 45 minutes swimming and 35 minutes walking. Just finished a lunch of cheese on toast + apple.

This afternoon will collect Cherry again to go to our dance class. 15.00-16.00

I swear all my teeth shifted, I seem to bite my cheeks inside a lot.  Then chew on the other side till it heals. I've bitten the tongue several times also.  It gets so sore I feel like eating nothing.  I see you are 4 years older than me, Have you ever had that problem?  I was wondering if it's just me or older age?

Over the last four days built a guitar rack to replace three stands.  The rack holds eight guitars and was built with leftover wood, walnut stain, and carpet.  Cash outlay was a princely $8. Today is the first day it has been put into use.

A double shot of Bailey's in coffee and a bacon, egg, and cheese taco for breakfast.  It started raining on me on the way home from breakfast.  I sat out on the back porch, smoked a cigar, and watched the rain.  It's rained off and on most of the day.  I dinked around on the internet and watched some ESPN.  Guitar-wise, I'm playing through some of my pedals trying to figure out which of them I want to keep.  It's been a lazy day.

That's almost exactly what I've been going through!    I had a crown break...so low the remainder of the tooth couldn't be saved....so I got it pulled..... started chewing on the other side....so, like you, bit my cheek multiple times..... but the worst thing...a tooth on the now chewing side started to ache..... dentist said I needed a root canal....so that's what I just did.....I'm chewing on the side of my mouth with a gaping hole where a molar should be.... but....before I can get a bridge  for that (I'm too old to think about an implant) I have to get a crown on the tooth with the new root canal..... so, for awhile, I have to continue to chew on the 'toothless' side, (ever hear the phrase 'eating corn on the cobb through a picket fence'?)    Of course, all this happened AFTER I retired and lost my "Cadillac Dental Insurance", so the crap-plan I get through Medicare pays only a fraction of the cost!

So it's not uncommon then? Deb thinks my teeth shifted some?  Most all my dental  work, I never get numbed. He just drills away. I have a tooth in back that is about dead. He tried and saved it and so far it's been about 9 years now. When it acts up , he gave me some penicillin and that helps it longer.  Yeah, when I retired I had to give up my United Health care and had no dental insurance for 5 years. My dentist didn't want to lose me so he cut me some great deals till that 5 years passed.  At 65 I went on medicare and a supplement insurance. It's better than the Railroads.

ACH!  I HATE dental problems.  But I recently had my two front teeth replaced by crowns.  They're holding up well.  And the odd fitting upper partial that a different dentist put in finally got replaced too.  The old one had one side that didn't fit properly on one side.  But having a bit of a problem with the new one.  It fits a bit loose and has a tendency to slip off  until about noonday.  Been back once for an adjustment, but needs another, obviously.  But other medical issues and doctor visits so far had kept me from going back yet.

Actually(according to my dentist) your teeth are constantly shifting.  But in normal circumstances the shift is so minimal as to not be noticeable.   Just one missing tooth from either the top or bottom can cause a noticeable shift.  And that shifting could be a possible explanation for my upper partial fitting better by midday.

Count me in on this.  Its been happening to me for years.  A few years ago I had a bite guard to wear at night to stop grinding and finally saw next to last molar on top is not in line with the rest of the teeth.  Since then I try to be aware of how I chew on that side but sometimes will bite the cheek.  Then once that happens, its swollen and will do an encore just for the pure misery of it.  Retirement is cool, but the crappy dental insurance sucks.
